Our Investment Approach
Thoughtful decisions.
A disciplined process.
An investment approach should be understandable: why you own what you own, how it fits your needs, and when a change deserves consideration.
Schedule a Clarity Review
From priorities to a portfolio
A process grounded in your circumstances.
Understand the objective
Start with your financial situation, investment goals, time horizon, income needs, and tolerance for risk.
Evaluate the choices
Consider investment risk, costs, diversification, liquidity, and the role of available investment vehicles. Research and economic context inform the evaluation.
Apply the strategy
Consider existing holdings, account types, taxes, and applicable restrictions when putting the agreed approach in place.
Review and respond
Monitor the portfolio and evaluate adjustments when allocations or circumstances change. The goal is to keep decisions connected to your plan.
What deserves discussion
The questions behind a recommendation.
What role does it play?
Every holding should have a reason for being part of the portfolio and a relationship to the overall allocation.
What could go wrong?
Market movements, income needs, liquidity, and the ability to stay with a strategy all deserve attention.
What does it cost?
Expenses and tax effects can influence a decision. A lower price alone does not establish the right investment.
Keep the conversation open
Your circumstances do not stand still.
Tell your advisor about major purchases, a change in income, a retirement decision, or a family transition. Your portfolio review is most useful when it reflects your current life.
Our Investment Committee reviews model portfolios quarterly and adjusts them as necessary. We review client accounts annually, with additional reviews prompted by client requests, changes in circumstances or investment objectives, or market conditions. Investment management cannot eliminate market risk or assure a particular outcome.
